In 2000 the principals of Agora purchased a blighted 200,000 square foot commercial property on approximately 20 acres located in Panorama City, California on Van Nuys Boulevard between Chase Street and Parthenia. The was only 40% occupied and had suffered from deferred maintenance. The center was substantially renovated 2003 redeveloping the center by adding 30,000 square feet of new structures and creating a thriving plaza. The project was inspired by architectural designs copied from the town of San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. Architectural features include murals, fountains, benches, lampposts and landscaping. The property serves as a community shopping center of over 130 shops and restaurants where the neighbors can shop, eat, socialize and enjoy onsite entertainment.
