Cary J. Lefton is chief executive officer of Agora Realty & Management, which he founded in 1986. Lefton’s responsibilities include sales, accounting, contract administration, project acquisition, asset management, fiscal budgeting and general office administration.
Lefton began his career in 1980 as a real estate broker, specializing in commercial real estate, with Arthur Rubioff and Company of Southern California. He earned the “Rookie of the Year” award during his first year with the company, representing such companies as Westinghouse and Huffy Bicycles, and leased more than 1,500,000 square feet during his two-year tenure.
In 1982, Lefton joined Westwood Properties as vice president of acquisitions, where he successfully negotiated for commercial and industrial real estate throughout the Southern California region. His responsibilities also included project analysis, loan packaging and general office administration.
Lefton earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Southern California.
Ryan Lefton joined Agora Realty and Management in 2013. Ryan emphases in contract negotiation, acquisitions, construction management, company relations, marketing, and company operations. Ryan has helped acquire over 1,000,000 square feet of commercial properties and negotiated over 200+ leases during his time at Agora. Previously he worked at the Eisenberg Group accounting firm.
Ryan holds a Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law with a focus in Real Estate. In additional, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Regional Development and a minor in Business Administration from University of Arizona.
Aaron Lefton joined Agora Realty and Management in 2012 after receiving his Masters in Real Estate Development from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Prior to his Masters in Real Estate Development he received his Bachelors of Science at the University of Arizona. Aaron has been working in the commercial real estate industry since 2006. He has previous experience working as an intern for the City of Los Angeles Councilman District 3 and also experience with the Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency. In 2014 Aaron received Power Broker of the Year from CoStar and has been directly involved with over $100,000,00 in acquisitions at Agora . Aaron Lefton also is a board of director for the Arizona State Masters in Real Estate Development Alumni Association California. Lefton’s responsibilities include project acquisitions, asset management, project management and leasing.
Andy J. Cole joined Agora Realty & Management as the firm’s controller in 2001. He is responsible for all financial reporting and analysis including budget proformas and rent collections. Cole also oversees all accounting activities.
Cole possesses more than three decades of general accounting experience, the majority of which spans all aspects of commercial real estate accounting. Prior to joining Agora, Cole worked for NewMark Merrill as assistant controller. He also served as vice president and controller for Nansay USA, Inc.
Cole earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Northridge in Northridge, California.
Cesar De La Cruz joined Agora Realty & Management in 2000. He is responsible for overseeing property management and leasing of the company’s portfolio of properties. He is also involved in acquisitions and disposal of property.
Prior to joining Agora, De La Cruz worked for Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services, where his responsibilities included leasing and sales of bank-owned properties. De La Cruz began full-time residential real estate sales in 1985. He previously had his own construction company and termite business.
De La Cruz is extremely active in civic affairs in the communities in which Agora owns properties and has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers since 1996.
Eileen Lopez has been with Agora Realty and Management since 2007 as an administrative assistant.
Ryan Stempf joined Agora Realty and Management in 2017. Ryan focuses on investment strategy, deal sourcing and underwriting for the firm. In addition, Ryan’s focus is to expand Agora’s investment into Texas and surrounding states.
Prior to joining Agora, Ryan spent 10 years at a Dallas-based real estate private equity firm, Thackeray Partners. During his time with Thackeray he was involved with all aspects of investment, including sourcing, acquiring, asset managing and asset disposition. Ryan has diverse experience in retail, multifamily, industrial and office properties. Over his tenure at Thackeray, he asset managed over 3.5 million square feet of commercial space and over 4,000 multifamily units, and was involved in the sale of 23 separate properties with a combined transaction value of over $500 million.
Ryan’s civic duties include serving on the board for Promise House, a Dallas-based non-profit which serves to help at-risk youth with housing and education needs.
Ryan received his Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Lucy joined the Agora Realty and Management Inc. in 2002 and Manages Plaza Del Valle.
Ted Horwith joined Agora Realty & Management in 2007, with responsibility for development/acquisitions. He is an experienced industrial broker specializing in corporate transactions with national brokerages.
Prior to joining Agora, Horwith served with the Goodglick Company, DAUM Commercial Real Estate Services, Matlow-Kennedy Corporation, Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate and Arthur Rubloff & Company. He has specialized in the lease and sale of industrial and office properties throughout Southern California with a client list that includes Bekins, LLC/ Overton Moore Properties, Crown Zellerbach Corporation, Santa Fe Land Corporation, Honeywell Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, Knudsen Corporation, Honda Corporation, the City of Commerce and Warner Bros. Counted among his career transactions are 28,500,000 square feet of facilities sold or leased, 72 acres of industrial land sold and $415,000,000 in sales and lease consideration.
Horwith is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles.
